  • Prosthetics and Special Effects: Design and apply prosthetic pieces and special effects to create realistic and convincing results.
  • Hairstyling: Style hair to complement makeup and create a cohesive look.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our costume designers, production assistants, and other crew members to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Material Selection and Budgeting: Source and select high-quality makeup and special effects materials, and create budgets to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Tool Maintenance: Clean and maintain makeup applicators and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a makeup artist, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of makeup and hairdressing techniques, as well as experience with prosthetics and special effects.
  • Technical Understanding: Understanding of lighting, photography, styles, dramatization, and other technical aspects of the industry.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to balance quality and budget restraints, and make informed decisions about material selection and budgeting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Artistic Personality: An artistic personality with manual dexterity, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Education: Diploma from a vocational school in cosmetology, makeup, or a relevant field.
