Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Falla Restaurant. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, educating customers on our drinks menu and making recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Upsell special items and take orders while paying attention to details, such as coffee blend, dairy, and sugar ratios.
  • Prepare beverages following recipes and serve them with a smile.
  • Receive and process payments, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Keep the bar area clean and well-stocked, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Monitor and maintain brewing equipment, reporting any maintenance needs to management.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate customer feedback to management, providing recommendations for new menu items.

Requirements:

  • Passion for coffee and a desire to grow and develop within the coffee industry.
  • Basic latte art skills and knowledge of dialing-in and espresso extraction.
  • Experience with preparing pour-over drinks, such as V60 and Chemex.
  • Knowledge of commercial and specialty coffee, including at least 5 latte art designs.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, with a flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends.
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
