Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HSE Specialist to join our team at Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company. This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in health, safety, and environment (HSE) with expertise in electrical and instrumentation safety.

About the Role:

  • This position will be responsible for ensuring adherence and implementation of company HSE policies and procedures.
  • The successful candidate will lead the HSE team at site, interfacing with clients and other subcontractors as required.
  • A key aspect of this role is conducting regular risk assessments for electrical and instrumentation work activities.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to develop and implement control measures to mitigate identified risks.
  • They will also stay abreast of relevant electrical and instrumentation industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
  2. Lead investigations into electrical and instrumentation-related incidents and accidents.
  3. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  4. Conduct regular toolbox talks focusing on electrical and instrumentation safety.
  5. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and skills.
  6. Develop and maintain emergency response plans for electrical and instrumentation scenarios.
  7. Conduct drills to test and improve the effectiveness of emergency response procedures.
  8. Monitor key performance indicators related to electrical and instrumentation safety.
  9. Prepare and submit regular reports on HSE performance to project management.
  10. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards.
  11. Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe work practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's / Engineering Degree / HSE Certification or Equivalent
  • NEBOSH IGC
  • 8+ Years in HSE and 03 Years in UAE
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent communication, organizing and time management skills.
  • HSE Audits & Assurance
  • Flexible and adaptive approach to work.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated person who can demonstrate use of initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
