Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ESS Engineer to join our team at Energy Jobline. As an ESS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing energy storage systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Energy Storage Capacity Assessment
    • Conduct thorough assessments of energy storage capacity requirements for our clients
  • Charge/Discharge Management
    • Develop and implement charge/discharge strategies to optimize energy storage system performance
  • Technology Selection
    • Research and recommend energy storage technologies that meet our clients' needs
  • Control System Interface
    • Design and implement control systems to interface with power and power offtakers
  • ESS Farm Design
    • Lead the design and development of energy storage farm projects, including site evaluation, layout, and geotechnical works
  • Interface with Cross-Functional Teams
    • Collaborate with process teams, solar/wind teams, and OHTL and substations designs teams to ensure seamless integration of energy storage systems
  • Safety Assessment and Risk Management
    • Conduct thorough safety assessments and risk management analyses to ensure the safe operation of energy storage systems
  • Vendor Management
    • Develop and manage relationships with vendors to obtain accurate OPEX and CAPEX information, technical specifications, and decommissioning plans

Requirements

  • Experience in energy storage systems and utility-scale storage system experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of energy storage technologies and control systems
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
