Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Intellectual Property Specialist to join our team at Dubai Customs. As an Intellectual Property Specialist, you will be responsible for recording trademarks, verifying documents, and ensuring the integrity of information.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Trademark Recording: Record the trademarks of Dubai Customs clients who are already registered with the Ministry of Economy and satisfy the requirements as per the ministry's standards.
  2. Document Verification: Verify the documents required to record the trademarks with Dubai Customs and collect the necessary fees from the clients.
  3. IPR System Updates: Ensure the recorded trademarks are properly updated in the online IPR system and made available to the Inspection team at all centers to support inspection activities.
  4. Client Communication: Communicate the global head office of the clients about the trademark recorded information as part of procedural requirements and collect views shared by the clients.
  5. IPR Violation Reporting: Receive information on IPR violations from the clients on cargo movements and inform the respective customs center with all the details to do the necessary.
  6. Complaint Handling: Receive complaints from the clients on any IPR violations and record the complaints in the online IPR complaint system and forward it to the respective areas to act on the complaint.
  7. Complaint Follow-up: Follow up with IPR procedure and inspection centers on the registered complaints and update the status of the complaints and also report the unsolved issues to the direct supervisor.
  8. Reporting and Analysis: Generate periodic reports from the IPR online system and raise it to the management to measure the productivity level of the section and to observe the area of improvements.
  9. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other IPR section representatives as and when required.
  10. Professional Development: Keep abreast of all updates on intellectual property rights updates and requirements and communicate them to the registered clients.
  11. Additional Responsibilities: Perform all other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor on time with reliability, honesty, and discretion.
