Role Overview:

As a Cloud Operations Intern, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our cloud infrastructure initiatives that support our essential business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive significant cloud infrastructure projects that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by designing and delivering dependable cloud services.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams within Cvent's Technology divisions, including Site Reliability Engineering, Enterprise Services, and Security.
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, while helping to establish and promote best practices throughout the division.
  • Due to the continuous nature of cloud operations, flexibility in work hours and availability for off-hours support may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in a relevant IT discipline.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for technology and problem-solving.
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows production environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Proficient in automating routine tasks using programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, infrastructure security, and database technologies.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive work ethic, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
