We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join our team at First Select Employment Services. As a Technical Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations by coordinating with engineering groups, releasing work orders, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with Engineering Groups: Search and verify drawings in the engineering database, print and attach them to work orders, and correspond with engineering groups to obtain drawings not released in the company's database.
- Work Order Release: Collaborate with the Planning department to release work orders to designated shop personnel and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing: Provide drawings or part details required for product manufacturing and work closely with the Planning department to ensure smooth operations.
- ECN Management: Serve as the primary contact for all Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and alert relevant personnel when ECNs are issued.
- Quality and Safety: Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, requiring a high level of proficiency and adaptability.
- Minimum 3 Years of Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Maintain accurate records and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes and procedures, including data analysis and process improvement techniques.
- Computer Software Proficiency: Proficient in using computer software and tools to perform tasks efficiently.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
