About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in a leadership capacity. As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our practice strategy, driving innovation in design processes, standards, and methodologies for project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, coordinate, and lead smaller, less complex landscape design projects independently with minimal oversight.
  • Lead client meetings and take ownership of the deliverable structure and content.
  • Read, qualify, quantify, and apply graphic standards applicable to projects and design tasks.
  • Demonstrate a clear ability to deliver descriptive writing of landscape design principles, technical reports, and guidelines.
  • Participate in internal and external workshops, summarizing outcome reports and leading teams of designers to prepare adequate material for workshops and client presentations.
  • Deliver designs independently with direction from senior team members.
  • Deliver entire technical landscape packages independently with review from senior team members.
  • Understand all applicable authorities' requirements and coordinate with various disciplines' technical inputs into a project.
  • Have a full understanding of planting and irrigation requirements/standards and guidelines as per the region.
  • Provide updates for weekly studio/resourcing meetings.
  • Gain experience where possible on site for an ongoing landscape-built project and resolve key issues with the help of the senior team.
  • Understand bid requirements and support on putting together bids technical approach and methodologies.
  • Organize internal libraries and update project sheets for ongoing projects.
  • Develop innovative design ideas and solutions through digital tools and personal skills.
  • Be an advocate of quality procedures applicable to the landscape design Technical practice group and apply continuous thorough self-checks and reviews of deliverables before being shared.
  • Enhance standards of developed landscape design graphics (diagrams, Photoshop, and Lumion renders) across projects and document the same for wider team use.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urbanism, or other relevant area of expertise.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience.
  • Registered professional.
  • Demonstrate expertise or operate programs in: parametric modeling, BIM, project management.
