We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi operations. The successful candidate will lead the development of the strategy, design, and implementation of enhanced Electrical and Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate closely with clients to design, document, and manage the implementation of essential I&C and Telecommunication systems and components for transmission water networks.
  2. Provide timely and expert technical advice on matters relating to Electrical and control systems.
  3. Act as the lead problem solver in incorporating industry standards and modern technology into the I&C and Electrical systems.
  4. Review and provide comments on I&C and Electrical system drawings, including site location instrumentation layout drawings, layout drawings, control schematic diagrams, wired/wireless protocol designs, control and logic diagrams, and control system equipment.
  5. Represent the client's interests in design meetings with consultants and contractors, suggesting solutions and recommendations to evolve a standard design philosophy.
  6. Coordinate with consultants to prepare method statements related to I&C and Electrical systems.
  7. Develop, establish, and upgrade design and implementation standards, with periodic reviews to ensure the client remains current with evolving design methods.
  8. Review I&C and Electrical design, material submittals & design drawings for the entire system, including site locations and the central control room.
Requirements:
  1. 4-year engineering degree (Electrical, Electronic, or similar) or equivalent. Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
  2. 10+ years' experience in designing, implementing, and/or managing Electrical systems and components in the 24x7 continuous process drainage, sewer, or water utility industry.
  3. Hands-on experience in the design of I&C systems with demonstrable work experience on at least 4 major projects.
  4. Developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with multicultural teams.
  5. Ability to work effectively and diligently as both an individual and team member to resolve complex faults on critical equipment.
  6. Ability to prepare and present technical and non-technical documentation.
  7. Proven ability to perform in a key technical leadership role, with good written and oral communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
  8. Must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
  9. Previous experience with consultancy firms is an added advantage.
