Job Summary:

The Restaurant Service Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant. This involves setting up the dining area according to established standards, greeting guests, and managing reservations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Operations: Ensure that the opening procedure and table setup meet the restaurant's requirements, be present during service hours, and maintain cleanliness of tabletop items and the restaurant seating plan.
  • Greeting and Hosting: Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, check chair/sofa cushions for cleanliness, and host guests for seating relocation as needed.
  • Communication and Service: Assist with service as required, handle telephone bookings and inquiries, and keep the Restaurant Manager informed of guest comments and complaints.
  • Closing Procedure: Collect and clean all tabletop items during closing, ensure menus, drinks lists, and guest collateral items are kept clean and undamaged.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with maintaining guest history records and attend communication meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required.
  • Appearance and Grooming: Maintain a neat and clean uniform, personal grooming, and hygiene standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in the Food and Beverage department or industry is required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, a warm and inviting personality are essential.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn, work with flexibility, and respond positively to changing requirements is necessary.
  • Customer Service: Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to respond to different work situations is required.
