Position Overview:

As an Aviation Customer Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role in liaising with clients, particularly Airlines and Lessors, to identify their specific retrofit modification needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their retrofit modification requirements.
  • Analyze aircraft configurations, offering technical guidance and assisting clients in choosing the most suitable retrofit modifications tailored to their aircraft configurations and operational needs.
  • Initiate the process for generating proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and present retrofit proposals.
  • Support modifications across all business product lines, including: Interiors, Connectivity, Avionics, Airplane Performance & Safety, and Boeing Converted Freighter.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Monitor the progress of proposals and keep clients informed throughout the process.

Work Authorization:

This position is designated for local hiring in Ireland. Candidates must possess current legal authorization to work in Ireland. Boeing will not sponsor immigration or labor for applicants.

Compensation and benefits are determined locally and are not part of Boeing's U.S.-based payroll.

Relocation: This role does not provide relocation assistance. Candidates should reside in the immediate area or be prepared to relocate at their own expense.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, or computer science, or a non-U.S. equivalent education.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Possession of a B2 license with over 5 years of experience.
  • A robust background in aviation engineering with knowledge of aircraft retrofit modifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles, showcasing exceptional communication skills, relationship-building capabilities, and the ability to effectively understand and address client needs.
  • Experience collaborating with airline and/or leasing organizations.
  • Familiarity with EASA Part 21 design organizations.
  • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations based on relevant data sources.
