About the Role

Nord Anglia Education Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Support Assistant to join our team. As a Student Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the inclusion of pupils with additional educational needs in our school community.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support students with barriers to learning, such as English language difficulties, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, or other academic educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with Class Teachers to develop and deliver a suitable programme of support within the classroom and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive tailored support.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for students.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum of a high school diploma level education.
  • Minimum of 2-years experience working in a similar position.
  • Sound understanding of teaching best practice.
  • High level of fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • High level of international and inter-cultural understanding.
  • An understanding of the British curriculum would be advantageous.
