Job Description

As a Team Lead - Operations Manager at Apparel Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our stores, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. People Management
    • You will lead by example, demonstrating the importance of treating every team member with respect and dignity.
    • React immediately to issues requiring attention during the shift, providing ongoing direction and guidance to team members as needed.
    • Encourage an exciting and fun work environment while motivating team members to meet goals and objectives.
    • Train, orientate, and monitor new team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their job duties.
    • Report team member performance to the Store Manager, highlighting positive contributions and areas for improvement.
    • Assist in ensuring optimal team member coverage at all times, working various positions during busy periods to maintain optimal service levels.
  2. Hospitality Management
    • You will lead by example, demonstrating the importance of providing exceptional guest service and reinforcing positive hospitality behaviors with team members.
    • Respond to guest inquiries in a friendly manner, maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency and resolving problems promptly.
    • Address guest service complaints in a timely manner, turning potentially negative situations into positive experiences.
  3. Operations Management
    • Ensure compliance with all operating standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of cash handling and other store operations.
    • Supervise team members to ensure primary and secondary duties are completed, promoting a culture of accountability and responsibility.
    • Implement operational efficiency strategies, using tools and resources provided to optimize store performance.
    • Evaluate store policies and procedures, recommending improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
  4. Health & Safety
    • Understand and follow safe work practices and procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
    • Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, participating in investigations and contributing to corrective action plans.
