Job Description

The Ambulance Communications Centre (ACC) is seeking a highly skilled Ambulance Operations Coordinator to provide incident Call Taking and Dispatch services, coordinate communication with other emergency services, and perform administrative functions that support operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering incoming calls correctly, obtaining the required information location and GPS coordinates.
  • Following the Criteria Based Dispatch process to categorize calls and provide relevant instructions to the caller.
  • Recording all appropriate incident information into the Computer-Aided Dispatch system as it occurs or as soon as possible after it occurs.
  • Utilizing telecommunications and IT equipment to maximum effect and reporting all defects or malfunctions immediately.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma or equivalent in a related field, preferably in the medical sector, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare communication, emergency dispatch, or a relevant field. Excellent verbal proficiency, reading, and writing skills are essential, including English and Arabic/Urdu/Hindi/Tagalog. The ability to adapt and perform duties in a multicultural society is also crucial.
