Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Present Coffee Beverages
    • Offer a selection of creative non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, espresso, blended coffee, teas, and be able to garnish all drinks as per the given standards and explain their characteristics.
  • Support the Team
    • Support the outlet manager when required to train colleagues in accordance with the applicable standards and policies.
  • Customer Service
    • Have a good understanding of the outlet's concept and food and beverage offerings and be able to verbally explain those to the guests.
    • Personally interact and recommend suitable drinks for guests.
    • Handle effectively any kind of customer complaints being verbal or written and report to managers without fail.
  • Operations
    • Set up daily bar counter and ensure that mise en place and any other required ingredients and equipment are prepared in order to work as efficiently as possible.
    • Assure that all beverages, such as coffee and teas, are in good order to be served.
    • Assist the Restaurant/Outlet Manager to create new blended drinks for promotional activity and new menus.
    • Check the inventory daily before each shift to assure correct amounts are stocked up to avoid running out of stock during service periods.
    • Assist in carrying out monthly inventories.
    • Carry out periodic deep cleaning of all related areas including storage facilities and fridges.
  • Technology
    • Operate the required steps on the point of sales system in order to process food and beverage orders.
    • Process food and beverage orders.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the outlet manager including assisting other outlets.
    • Listen to every guest and observe body language carefully in order to be able to understand guest needs and expectations and consistently delight and satisfy every guest.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance to the MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs).
    • Create WOW moments to surprise and delight guests in the Restaurants through gestures and other actions.
    • Report guest's preferences to superiors and act upon them whenever known.

Requirements

  • High School qualification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred.
  • 3 years' experience as Bartender in a high-end bar with highest levels of service is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as bartender in a luxury hotel/resort.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in Arabic or other languages are preferred.
  • Ability to understand guest needs and to deliver superior customer service.
  • Ability to work long hours with a strong focus on operational excellence.
  • Familiar with restaurant point of sales and cashiering procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to prepare and suggest classic and innovative beverages.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capabilities to stand for a long period; Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business needs.
