To facilitate the effective functioning of the zoological facilities at CLYMB Abu Dhabi by responsibly executing tasks related to animal and guest interactions, animal care, enrichment activities, public presentations, and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts daily animal care activities, including the administration of supplements and medications as instructed. Prepares diets, ensures proper nutrition, and provides ongoing care for the animals. Maintains safe, suitable, and hygienic living environments for all animal habitats. Acquires knowledge of behavior modification strategies under the guidance of more experienced staff.
This encompasses, but is not limited to, the training of specific behaviors to completion, actively sustaining conditioned behaviors, and developing relationships with assigned animals.
Ensures the safety of guests, staff, and animals through vigilant monitoring of behavioral indicators that may lead to potential risks from both animals and humans. Delivers exceptional guest services through interactions, animal presentations, and educational programs in the designated area, while addressing guest inquiries.Engages in assigned roles within educational and public programs, as well as guest interaction initiatives. Observes animals daily and reports any irregularities to the supervisory team. Maintains comprehensive animal records, equipment, area responsibilities, and communication protocols on a daily basis.
Acts as an Ambassador by demonstrating respect, patience, collaboration, open communication, and dependability; maintains a consistent demeanor, motivation, and receptiveness to feedback. Ensures adherence to all policies, guidelines, manuals, and standard operating procedures at all times. Consistently practices safe working habits, including, but not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, proper lifting techniques, and reporting unsafe conditions.
Participates in required training sessions and maintains professional development and competencies. Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisory team.
