Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Systems Engineer to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand overall functionality of HVAC systems, including central plants, AHU, unitary controls, and other related systems.
  • Identify energy savings opportunities in buildings, focusing on BMS controls and other areas.
  • Review functional specifications and sequence of operations to ensure system operations meet industry standards.
  • Develop and implement DDC programming to optimize system performance.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC control loops and other system issues.
  • Conduct functionality checks to ensure systems meet specifications.
  • Review actual site operating data and analyze faults in control loops and sensors.
  • Lead projects independently with minimal guidance from supervisors.
  • Prepare and participate in kick-off meetings, rule tuning meetings, and project review meetings.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and delivery requirements.
  • Escalate changes in project delivery, milestones, or scope to supervisors.
  • Attend meetings and telecons with global teams and customers.
  • Create and track project plans on a regular basis.
  • Provide technical direction to project team members and support field technicians.
  • Ensure quality checks are performed based on established processes and QC checklists.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent defects.
  • Update GDS and FCBO tools based on project progress.
  • Prepare monthly reports and rule tuning observation reports.
  • Use quality assurance procedures to ensure project deliverables meet standards.
  • Meet commitment dates and drive common best practices.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure assigned training modules and LMS trainings are completed on time.
  • Enter time sheets on time.
  • Work towards continuous improvement and implement Kaizen ideas.

Requirements

  • Niagara certified with experience in working on Niagara is an added advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in instrumentation, engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of work experience in a projects environment with extensive on-site knowledge and a proven track record in BMS project commissioning.
  • Knowledge in software programming and coding (Axon/Python preferable).
  • Knowledge of networking, database technology, integration protocols, and current trends in the industry.
  • Knowledge of DDC programming.
  • Knowledge of BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, OPC, and other protocols.
  • Awareness of building standard codes such as LEED, GREENMARK, etc.
  • Previous exposure to a site-based, construction environment.
  • Work experience in global projects will be considered an advantage.
