We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our team at Duncan & Ross. As an OT Cybersecurity Monitoring and Logging Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our Operational Technology (OT) systems and infrastructure from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure SIEM Technology Integration and Utilization: Integrate and utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technology to protect OT/ICS cybersecurity systems across our sites.
- Maintain Monitoring Baseline System Security: Maintain monitoring baseline system security for OT/ICS Cybersecurity Systems and supported infrastructure according to organizational policies and operational standards.
- Perform Threat Analysis and Mitigation: Perform analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering solutions to stop adversaries from attacking OT/ICS cybersecurity resources and supported infrastructure technology resources.
- System Administration and Maintenance: Perform system administration on SIEM application and systems for OT/ICS environment, including installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration as per operational procedures.
- Event Collection and Log Management: Coordinate and conduct event collection, log management, event management, compliance automation, and identity monitoring activities.
- Cyber Threat Identification: Identify cyber threats to OT/ICS cybersecurity systems and equipment.
- Use Case Development and Correlation Rules: Build and recommend specific use cases/correlation rules related to the environment to best detect attacks and threats that could be imposed to the OT/ICS cybersecurity systems and equipment.
- SIEM System Deployment and Maintenance: Manage SIEM system deployments, upgrades, ongoing maintenance, and operations.
- Audit Setting and Endpoint Integration: Audit setting recommendations and integration of End Point devices for logging and monitoring based on best practices for OT networks.
- Content Development and Fine Tuning: Develop and fine-tune use cases/correlation rules based on relevant attacks and threat landscape of the OT network and organization.
- Active Threat Hunting: Perform active threat hunting across the network to continuously monitor for vulnerabilities and threats that could cause potential damage to the OT infrastructure.
- Site Visits and Cybersecurity Activities: Visit sites to perform related cybersecurity activities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: More than 10 years of experience in information security and ISMS/CSMS development and implementation, with at least 5 years of experience in IT/OT Cybersecurity consultancy/operation, preferably in the oil and gas domain.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with enterprise-wide projects within organizations with similar project scopes, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to work independently and as part of a team, experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., UAE IAS, ISA 62443, NIST, Shell DEP, ITIL, etc.), and professional security certifications (e.g., GICSP, CISSP, CISMCISA, ISA 62443 fundamentals, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor).
