We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Engineer for Core Analysis to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and executing routine and daily operational activities of the Core Analyses Laboratory, ensuring the highest quality of service and products delivered to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Core Analyses Laboratory, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
- Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for the calibration and routine maintenance of CT Scanning machines, as well as other equipment in the laboratory.
- Data Acquisition and Analysis: Acquire, process, and interpret data from CT Scanner raw data files (DICOM), generating reports and 3D and cross-sectional videos as required.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products delivered to clients meet the highest quality standards, adhering to documented Standard & Guidelines and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Plan and manage the availability of spare parts, chemicals, and cleaning supplies within the laboratory.
- Thin Sections Preparation: Organize and participate in the preparation of thin sections, poro-perm measurements, and other required measurements.
- Equipment Operation: Take necessary actions for the running and operation of computerized equipment, calibration, service programs, and routine maintenance.
- Reporting and Invoicing: Prepare final invoices for completed projects and submit them to the Team Leader/Senior Laboratory Engineer for further processing.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Report any equipment failures and operational problems, executing solutions as required.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Monitor, enforce, and adhere to HSE rules and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Training and Development: Participate in the training of new employees, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Teamwork and Communication: Work in a team environment, completing tasks on a timely and efficient basis, and communicate effectively with team players and management.
- Stock Management: Conduct periodic stock checkups for chemicals and materials in the stores, reporting shortages and preparing requisitions as required.
- Results Calculation and Reporting: Calculate, interpret results, and prepare measurements reports with findings and recommendations to concerned departments.
- Training and Development: Train laboratory staff to progress on project management and provide training to other employees on CT Scanning and CT Scan data processing.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other related responsibilities as assigned by the Team Leader/Senior Laboratory Engineer.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's or engineering degree in Geology/Petroleum field or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Laboratory technician for core analysis, including CT scanner data processing in oil field or similar laboratories. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and application of international Standards and Guidelines for core analyses, proficiency in working with Microsoft office and core data management I.T. systems, and the ability to adapt to other relevant ACC developed software. Strong communication skills in English are essential, with the ability to engage with team players and management in a technically coherent manner.
