Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Yoga Instructor to lead inspiring and transformative yoga classes for individuals of all levels, helping them to improve their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

  • Lead various yoga classes, including Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative, to cater to the diverse needs and interests of our clients.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to ensure participants understand and safely perform yoga poses and sequences.
  • Offer modifications and adjustments to accommodate individuals with different abilities and physical limitations.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Design and develop lesson plans that are engaging, balanced, and aligned with our studio's objectives.
  • Monitor participants' progress and provide feedback and encouragement to support their growth and development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio space, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stored after each class.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in the yoga industry, constantly expanding your knowledge and sharing it with our community.

Requirements

  • A valid certification from a recognized yoga training program.
  • Proven experience teaching yoga and leading group classes.
  • In-depth knowledge of different yoga styles and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain instructions and concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to modify yoga poses to accommodate individuals with various physical abilities or limitations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Passion for wellness and helping others achieve their health and fitness goals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of our clients.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • In-Depth Knowledge of Yoga: Understanding various styles, poses (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and their benefits.
  • Teaching Skills: Ability to convey instructions clearly and effectively, catering to different skill levels and needs.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication for guiding students and providing feedback, as well as active listening to understand students' needs.
  • Physical Fitness: Maintaining personal fitness and flexibility to demonstrate poses accurately and safely.
  • Adaptability: Adjusting classes to accommodate different abilities, injuries, and preferences of students.
  • Empathy and Patience: Creating a supportive environment, encouraging students while being patient with their progress.
  • Mindfulness and Presence: Cultivating a calm and focused atmosphere that promotes relaxation and concentration.
  • Knowledge of Anatomy: Understanding human anatomy to prevent injuries and ensure safe practice.
  • Class Planning: Designing balanced and engaging lesson plans that flow well and meet the goals of the class.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing education through workshops, training, and practice to stay current with yoga trends and methodologies.
