- Conduct interviews, recruit personnel, and provide training for new hires.
- Propose and execute operational policies and procedures.
- Engage in departmental assessments and quality improvement initiatives.
- Identify requirements for equipment and supplies.
- Training and Development:
- Assess staff performance and implement strategies for improvement or additional training.
- Provide orientation for new medical records staff.
Management of Medical Information:
- Gather, organize, verify, and archive patient charts as necessary. Ensure records are properly organized, completed, signed, and indexed.
- Administer and safeguard the electronic records management system.
- Monitor the precision of patient documentation and visit records.
- Respond to inquiries regarding information while upholding patient confidentiality.
- Establish and uphold protocols to ensure secure record maintenance within the healthcare facility.
- Address incomplete records with the relevant department or service provider for rectification or completion.
- Compile and maintain statistical reports and various registries, including treatments, surgeries performed, and hospital bed utilization.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental personnel and other facility departments to ensure services are effectively delivered to meet resident needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of all relevant resident care information.
