Job Description:

As a Financial Collections Specialist with Ghobash Group, you will play a crucial role in managing collections and maintaining the allocated Receivables Outstanding. Your primary objective will be to exceed the desired cash flow by following up with clients, meeting collecting targets, and ensuring that the Receivables statement reflects a true and fair picture.

Responsibilities:
  • Payment follow-up with clients to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  • Meeting collecting targets to maintain customer ageing/over dues within targeted norms.
  • Ensure Receivables statement accurately reflects all transactions.

Client Follow-up:
  • Send Automated Pending Invoices statement to clients after month-end closure before 13th of succeeding month.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients via phone calls and emails to resolve disputes and ensure timely collections.
  • Visit clients in person (whenever necessary) to resolve issues and negotiate settlements.
  • Follow up on assigned clients each month without exception.

Meeting Collecting Targets:
  • Monitor client outstanding statements regularly and chase up accordingly to maintain overdue percentage below 50% of total outstanding.
  • Identify high-value invoices and prioritize collection to improve cash flow.
  • Ensure minimum one receipt is collected from each due customer.

Ensure Receivables Statement Reflects True and Fair Picture:
  • Liaise with clients regularly to ensure accurate accounting of all invoices.
  • Collaborate with messenger/service Sales & logistics department to ensure timely submission of invoices.
  • Work closely with Receivables Accountant to ensure timely posting of receipts and proper allocation of invoices.
  • Reconcile customer balances regularly and provide reconciliation statement for differences.

Periodical Feedback to Finance Manager:
  • Provide updated payment status of assigned clients to Credit Control Supervisor/Finance Manager daily.
  • Keep remarks regarding each outstanding invoice up-to-date.
