Overview of Responsibilities

In the capacity of a BIM Project Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) across various projects, ensuring that all data and information produced by contractors and consultants align with client specifications.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the implementation and delivery of BIM in accordance with established programme standards.
  • Conducting quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of BIM outputs, including COBie and IFC data.
  • Supervising the execution of audit checks on drawings and BIM models.
  • Reviewing and validating consultants' BIM execution plans.
  • Managing design coordination, clash detection, and construction sequencing (4D).
  • Participating in project and programme-level BIM meetings.
  • Providing support to Project Leads and Design Managers.

Qualifications Required

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Recent involvement in BIM Execution on significant construction projects in a consultancy capacity is essential.

Key Experience

  • Proficiency in 3D design for transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, railways, airports, and ports, along with experience collaborating with both consultants and contractors.
  • Experience in BIM modeling for utility design disciplines, including pressure and gravity pipe systems for sewage, drainage, potable water, irrigation, and other related systems.
  • A strong understanding of BIM Execution Plan (BEP) preparation, Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), and ISO 19650 standards.
  • Familiarity with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms such as BIM360 and ProjectWise.
  • Extensive experience with Autodesk Civil 3D software and its associated tools, including Dynamo, Subassembly Composer, and Part Builder.
  • A solid background in Autodesk Revit for MEP and/or landscape design will be considered advantageous.
