Job Title: Firefighting BIM Modeler

Duncan & Ross is seeking a highly skilled Firefighting BIM Modeler to join our team in the GCC region. As a key member of our digital engineering team, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing detailed BIM models for firefighting systems using Autodesk Revit and other BIM software.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain accurate and detailed BIM models for firefighting systems, ensuring compliance with project standards, specifications, and local fire safety regulations.
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate firefighting systems within the overall project model.
  3. Perform regular updates and revisions to the BIM models as project requirements evolve.
  4. Conduct quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  5. Use clash detection tools to identify and resolve conflicts within the firefighting systems and between other disciplines.
  6. Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety standards and regulations.
  7. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and reports related to firefighting BIM models.
  8. Generate accurate and detailed drawings and schedules from the BIM models for use in project documentation and construction.
Key Qualifications:
  1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in firefighting BIM modeling in the GCC region.
  3. Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  4. Strong understanding of firefighting systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
  5. Experience with clash detection and resolution in a BIM environment.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  7. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
