Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Mentoring junior staff and ensuring adherence to established pharmacy procedures and policies.
  • Reviewing medication orders and patient profiles for appropriateness of therapy.
  • Verifying and monitoring medication orders for drug interactions, duplication, and omission therapy, allergies, and adverse reactions.
  • Providing patient counseling and advice on the proper use of medication.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college and hold a current National License. A postgraduate qualification in pharmacy or board certification/residency in clinical pharmacy is highly desirable.

Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist in a short-term acute care hospital is required. Experience as an outpatient pharmacist or in a similar setting is also acceptable. UAE nationals who have completed their internship may also apply.
