Job Title: Residential Hall Coordinator

The Residential Hall Coordinator plays a vital role in creating a strong and inclusive community for students residing in the complex. This position requires a unique blend of leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and security of residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision: Oversee a residential block of students, supervise Assistant Residential Hall Coordinators, and manage 8-15 Resident Assistants (RAs) and Residential Life Resource Officers (RLROs).
  • Community Development: Support programs to create a strong community in the complex, provide a friendly environment for residents, and work with RAs, Student Engagement and Leadership Department (SELD), and other units on campus to support programs and residential curriculum model.
  • Student Conduct and Crisis Management: Coordinate and serve in an on-call duty rotation, manage student conduct issues, and prepare student staff duty and desk schedules each semester.
  • Administrative and Departmental Responsibilities: Follow-up on hall maintenance, collaborate with other residence hall coordinators, and participate in departmental functions, projects, or committees.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience living on campus while in college or experience in a student leadership position while in college.
  • Able to work weekends and evenings, plus on-call responsibilities for a week once or twice a month.
  • Able to reside on-campus.
  • Able to work with a diverse team of staff and students.
  • Excellent administrative and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly and approachable manner.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to multitask and resolve issues.
