Job Summary

LMI is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure continuous build, test, and deployment to cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain scripting to resolve automation issues and/or deployment issues related to the AWS Cloud Platform and GitLab.
  • Evaluate cloud-based technical solutions/designs in accordance with client requirements and ensure compliance with industry and Government-mandated security protocols, controls, and best-practices.
  • Provide expertise to monitor the designing and engineering of infrastructure and applications to the Cloud.
  • Work closely with Cybersecurity resources to document controls, support accreditation, Interim Authorization to Test (IATT) and Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation and provide metrics to comply with audits.
  • Escalate issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the appropriate levels for clarification and resolution.
  • Perform unsupervised, hands-on work in DoD based cloud environments.
  • Work independently within team environments to set up and maintain cloud architectures.
  • Manage multiple and competing customer priorities with little supervision.
  • Develop High Availability and Disaster Recovery processes in accordance with government and industry guidelines.
  • Help establish DevSecOps Pipelines within the Gov Cloud Framework.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3-10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, executing, and supporting AWS environment.
  • Hands-on experience with platform engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of scripting to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines within GitLab.
  • Fluent in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, for which one must be a US citizen.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or similar certification(s).
  • Experience working in secure environments.
  • Experience with security requirements in a federal IT environment, including FedRAMP-certified providers and FISMA requirements for acquiring an ATO.
  • Experience with Agile and containerization methodologies or strategies.
  • Agile certifications.
