Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in the Middle East and Africa region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with public officials regulations, managing compliance in joint ventures, and contributing to the implementation of the Compliance program in the MEA region in accordance with Company norms.

About the Role

The Compliance Officer will work closely with various stakeholders to identify improvements to compliance processes and conduct investigations into alleged violations of company policies, regulatory breaches, or unethical behavior. The role also involves tracking and following up on remedial actions to ensure they are effectively implemented to prevent recurrence.

  • This includes contributing to the implementation of the Compliance program in the MEA region in accordance with Company norms.
  • Following up on due diligence requirements.
  • Monitoring regional compliance actions across all entities, ensuring directives and norms are being followed properly.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the organization's interactions with public officials are compliant with applicable laws and ethical standards.
  2. Monitoring and reviewing communications and transactions involving public officials to prevent bribery, corruption, or any undue influence.
  3. Providing training and guidance to employees on best practices for engaging with public officials, including adhering to relevant anti-corruption and transparency regulations.
  4. Maintaining records of all engagements with public officials and preparing reports as required by regulatory bodies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Strong integrity, legal and regulatory knowledge, analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills, discretion and confidentiality, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience in SAP applications is highly desirable.
  • Mastery of English and French languages is mandatory, with Arabic being a plus.
