We are seeking a Lead Engineer for Advanced Reservoir Simulation to join our dynamic team at MatchaTalent. This role is pivotal in enhancing our reservoir simulation capabilities, particularly in the realm of unconventional resources.
Key Responsibilities- Integrated Reservoir Studies: Spearhead and engage in comprehensive reservoir simulation analyses, encompassing data interpretation, model development, historical data alignment, calibration, and forecasting.
- Technical Guidance: Serve as a key technical consultant to senior management, offering insights on optimal practices for reservoir simulation and addressing the unique challenges associated with unconventional resource modeling.
- Collaboration: Work in close partnership with Petroleum and Operations Engineers to formulate, oversee, and ensure the implementation of both short-term and long-term data acquisition strategies for field operations, including well testing and production logging.
- Software Utilization: Employ advanced petroleum engineering software for a variety of analytical tasks, such as well test evaluations, material balance assessments, production logging, and nodal analysis.
- Specialized Modeling Techniques: Implement advanced simulation modeling strategies, including fracture modeling, compositional modeling, PVT analysis, and the integration of surface and subsurface modeling, along with sophisticated well and smart completion designs.
- Field Development Optimization: Analyze and recommend strategies to enhance field development and maximize hydrocarbon extraction from both emerging and established fields.
- Mentorship and Training: Provide expert guidance and training to junior engineers, including conducting in-house technical workshops to foster professional growth.
- External Representation: Act as a representative for MatchaTalent in external technical discussions with consultants and vendors, and engage actively in relevant technical societies and forums.
