Mira Construction - Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components. They will provide technical expertise, mentor junior engineers, and drive the successful execution of electrical engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement electrical system designs and components for various applications, from concept to production.
  2. Conduct electrical engineering analysis, calculations, and simulations to ensure the integrity, performance, and safety of electrical designs.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems with overall product designs.
  4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting with problem-solving and professional development.
  5. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project planning meetings to ensure project objectives are met.
  6. Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and technical specifications.
  7. Perform hands-on testing and validation of electrical designs, including prototype fabrication and testing.
  8. Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices in electrical engineering, and apply them to project designs and processes.
  9. Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source electrical components and materials.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for electrical designs and products.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on product design and development.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
  4. Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and PCB layout.
  5. Excellent knowledge of electrical engineering principles and standards, including NEC, IEEE, and IEC.
  6. Experience with embedded systems design, microcontrollers, and firmware development.
  7. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  9. Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles.
  10. Professional engineering (PE) license is a plus.
