The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Contract Negotiation Expert to join our legal team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, marketing agreements, e-com agreements, and other contractual arrangements.
- Draft and review commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Negotiate with third-party contractors and vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Provide expert legal advice on contract law, commercial transactions, property law, and intellectual property.
- Conduct thorough legal analysis to minimize and effectively manage legal exposure.
- Coordinate with various divisions/business units/departments of GMG to ensure adherence to legal provisions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Negotiate with third-party contractors and vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Provide expert legal advice on contract law, commercial transactions, property law, and intellectual property.
- Conduct thorough legal analysis to minimize and effectively manage legal exposure.
- Coordinate with various divisions/business units/departments of GMG to ensure adherence to legal provisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law or LLB; a Master's degree will be advantageous.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a similar role for a retail/diversified organization.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); additional language proficiency may be beneficial.
- Excellent legal writing skills.
- Advanced oral communication skills.
- Stakeholder management: engaging with senior executive leadership.
