Key Responsibilities

  • Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
  • Offer body treatments, including body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy, to promote guest well-being.
  • Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications before beginning service, prioritizing guest safety and comfort.
  • Stay up-to-date with current techniques and modalities related to your field of work, ensuring you provide the best possible service.
  • Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
  • Arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes to create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere.
  • Regularly check with guests to promote comfort, safety, and security throughout the service.
  • Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings related to the Spa, to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of workstations and treatment rooms throughout the shift, disposing of trash and dirty linens, and securing supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and adhere to time schedules throughout the day, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures for inappropriate conduct for guests and therapists, leading up to and including stopping a treatment or service and informing a supervisor/manager.
  • Maintain current skills and licensure in service area as per regional requirements.

Requirements

  • State or Regional Massage License.
  • At least 1-year of related work experience.
  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
