About the Role

Nathan HR Human Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Labour Market Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our research department, you will be responsible for conducting and leading analysis of economic data and trends, as well as supporting and providing key economic policy reports pertaining to Emiratization agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and Lead Analysis: Conduct and lead analysis of economic data and trends to support the development of evidence-based research for economic and labour market policy.
  • Support and Provide Reports: Support and provide key economic policy reports pertaining to Emiratization agenda, including reports on Emiratization-related labor market topics in the UAE.
  • Coordinate Research Projects: Coordinate research projects related to labour and employment in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop Reports: Develop reports that facilitate workforce planning and the connection between education strategies and labor market demand.
  • Support and Lead Researcher: Support, lead and guide Economic Policy Researcher in converting insights and data into research materials through MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and other similar tools that help deliver actionable content to senior leadership.
  • Prepare Reports and Assessments: Prepare reports and conduct socio-economic impact assessments related to the impact of broader economic reform, education, and other socio-economic initiatives and programs on the labour market and Emiratization.
  • Publish Reports: Publish regular reports that outline the overall outcomes of programs aimed at Emiratization.
  • Conduct Baselining and Benchmarking: Conduct baselining and benchmarking exercises, extract best practices and key insights from developed research and present the developed materials to the senior leadership.
  • Support Innovation and Research: Support the Innovation, Research and Studies team in conducting primary and secondary data collection.
  • Provide Policy Advice: Act as a trusted policy advisor to the Policies & Studies Manager, leveraging policy-based research and analysis expertise. Provide informed recommendations and guidance on pressing UAE labour market requirements, the skills agenda, and other crucial labour policy matters, shaping policies and strategies that address current and future challenges.
Requirements
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience in Economics, Labour Market Analysis, Social Sector Policies, Employment Creation.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in compiling, analyzing, and reporting data to provide comprehensive analyses of the UAE's labour market and forecast future labour market trends.
  • Data Analytics: Advanced proficiency in utilizing innovative data analytics techniques.
  • Policymaking: The capacity to design, develop, and evaluate policy interventions.
  • Domain Knowledge: Possessing a domain knowledge in one area of expertise, particularly in the context of the Middle East, is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to tackle complex, unstructured problems in a rigorous, analytical fashion with a problem-solving approach characterized by critical thinking, attention to detail, and a systematic methodology that ensures comprehensive analysis and well-grounded solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to translate data from Excel files into clear, concise presentations for the Leadership Team.
Working Relationships
  • Internal: Daily interaction with team members, interaction with senior leadership as and when required.
  • External: Liaise with Federal and Local entities as well as private sector firms to discuss Emiratization-related matters, exchange feedback and knowledge.
