Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our team at EDARI UAE. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing a team of accountants, collaborating with internal departments, and maintaining general ledger entries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead a team of 4-5 accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Financial Analysis: Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret financial information, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, reconcile financial statements, and prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Enter financial data, such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries, into the ledger on a monthly basis, and prepare reports.
  • Account Analysis: Perform account analysis to ensure journal entries and balances are correct, and reconcile accounts in the general ledger.
  • Record Keeping: Gather supporting documentation and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with previous experience of managing a team of at least 2 accountants.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting.
  • Certification: ACCA or equivalent professional certification.
  • Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, excellent stakeholder management skills, and previous experience of using Oracle or Opera Accounting Software (good to have but not essential).
