Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Specialist to join our team at Emirates Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing dedicated financial services to a department by ensuring that all income and expenses are effectively managed and controlled through the provision of accurate financial information and the analysis and tracking of cost and expenditure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP or IFRS, and will be proficient in analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations.
The Senior Finance Specialist will also be responsible for providing financial decision analysis recommendations to the business, enhancing performance monitoring through the production of standard business performance reports, and providing subject-specific reports that enable a more granular understanding of the key drivers that impact cost and revenue.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills to present financial information clearly to stakeholders, and will be able to contribute to long-term financial planning and strategy development.
The role will also involve providing continuous hands-on guidance to business managers in terms of financial awareness, educating them on financial systems and procedures that govern best practices, and building business cases with financial terminologies such as Net Present Value (NPV) and Return On Investment (ROI).
The Senior Finance Specialist will be responsible for generating and analyzing periodic re-forecasts at the department and corporate level, providing financial information to the business managers to initiate workflow processes, and performing financial accounting activities, including the validation of invoices, accrual generation, and reconciliations.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address financial challenges and improve processes, and will be proficient in financial software and tools, including Excel and ERP systems.
The Senior Finance Specialist will also be responsible for researching and maintaining updated relevant benchmarking statistics on key performance indicators of the business, competitors, and industry, and providing analysis for opportunities to enhance revenue, reduce costs, and optimize resources.
