Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of our database systems, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application database issues.
  • Database Health Checks: Perform regular health checks on our databases and database servers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager: Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 13c to manage and monitor our database systems.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery concepts, including RMAN, to ensure business continuity.
  • Database Installations: Install, configure, and implement Oracle Database 12c and 19c, as well as Oracle RAC 12c/19c.
  • Database Upgrades: Upgrade our Oracle databases to 19c and ensure seamless transition.
  • Database Patching: Apply Oracle Database patches (RUP, CPU) and clone databases as needed.
  • Database Design and Development: Design, develop, and administer high-performance database systems.
  • Backup and Recovery Strategies: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning: Proactively plan and tune database capacity to ensure optimal performance.
  • Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify potential issues and risks, and work with relevant parties to resolve them or escalate them to the project/application management team.
  • Data Migration and Application Cloning: Support data migration, application cloning, patch analysis, and deployment.
  • Database Administration and Management: Administer, manage, and tune high-transaction and decision support standalone/RAC production server environments.
