About the Role

We are seeking a skilled GSE Fabricator to join our team at Etihad Airways. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural metal products, including framework or shells for machinery and metal parts for buildings and ground equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop layouts and plan sequences of operations to meet production requirements.
  • Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto workpieces to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses, to produce high-quality metal components.
  • Hammer, chip, and grind workpieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal according to specifications.
  • Preheat workpieces and position, align, fit, and weld together parts to create complex metal assemblies.
  • Design and construct templates and fixtures to improve fabrication efficiency and accuracy.
  • Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Fabricate or assign fabrication to Denter-B and assemble sheet metal products to customer requirements.
  • Operate machine tools associated with fabricating shops, such as radial drill presses, end mills, and edge planners, to achieve precision and accuracy.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and protect the organization's reputation.
  • Ensure safety and quality of tasks performed and report any occurrences, events, or violations that may impact safety, security, or company reputation.
