Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Risk Maintenance Engineering Specialist to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Organization within our technical support team. This multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering high-quality technical support to our operating facilities.

Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the Technology roadmap and deployment initiatives aimed at maximizing the value realization and benefits of technology through innovative and efficient solutions across our Global Manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate maintenance expenditures related to manpower, equipment, materials procurement, and outsourcing strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness of planning and scheduling, including benchmarks, KPIs, and the effectiveness of preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Oversee the completion of assigned maintenance tasks and mentor junior engineers.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses to benchmark maintenance performance, identify gaps, and develop sustainable improvement plans, including:
    • Analysis of total expenditures
    • Effectiveness of maintenance programs
    • Total lifecycle costs of new assets
    • Current operating costs of existing assets
    • Strategies for preventive and predictive maintenance
    • Value creation through cost savings and avoidance
    • Comparison of actual versus planned downtime
    • Equipment classification and SAP structure
    • Effectiveness of planning and scheduling
    • Technician competency and qualification programs
    • Maintenance budget strategies
    • Capital projects and Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) models
  • Benchmark and prepare reports on the effectiveness of maintenance processes.
  • Collaborate at an enterprise level to forecast procurement strategies for materials and services.
  • Assist in implementing approved programs, including providing authoritative interpretations, conducting pilot runs, and leading training sessions.
  • Evaluate Turnaround and Inspection (T&I) programs for facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to relocate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in refining or petrochemical facilities.
  • Demonstrated technical competence in maintenance programs and activities.
  • Strong hands-on experience in oil and gas maintenance organizations in the following areas:
    • Risk-based processes such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance
