About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Events Executive - Wedding Specialist to join our team at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for securing business, planning meetings and weddings, and coordinating with hotel operations and clients. Your role will involve developing strong relationships with wedding planning firms, reviewing sourcing platforms and marketing opportunities, and responding to wedding inquiries in a prompt and professional manner. You will also be responsible for creating customized promotions and packages, working closely with the banquets and conference service team, and providing consistent reporting as requested.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop strong relationships with wedding planning firms through prospecting and presentation efforts
* Review wedding sourcing platforms and marketing opportunities to ensure continued growth of qualified wedding inquiries
* Respond to all wedding/social groups inquiries in a prompt and professional manner
* Create new/customized promotions or packages and submit recommendations to the Director of MICE & Events for review and approval
* Work closely with banquets and conference service team to ensure proper service and coverage
* Provide consistent reporting as requested, including annual strategic sales plan for weddings market
* Collaborate with sales team to achieve targets

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years' experience as an Events Executive - Wedding Specialist in a luxury hotel required
* Degree in hospitality field preferred, with previous experience in catering sales & weddings within hotel
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Computer literate and previous experience with Opera advantageous
