About the Role:

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-performance web applications using React, NodeJS, and TypeScript.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop scalable and highly available RESTful APIs using NodeJS technologies.
  2. Develop and implement highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.
  3. Architect and automate the build process for production using task runners or scripts.
  4. Monitor and improve front-end performance.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  6. Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code.
  7. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of coding experience in ReactJS (TypeScript), HTML, CSS-Pre-processors, or CSS-in-JS.
  2. Minimum 5 years of coding experience in NodeJS, JavaScript & TypeScript and NoSQL Databases.
  3. Excellent knowledge of containerization, experienced in Dockers, Kubernetes.
  4. Understanding of API gateway integrations like 3Scale.
  5. Understanding of Single-Sign-on or token-based authentication (Rest, JWT, OAuth).
  6. Practical experience with GraphQL is good to have.
  7. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  8. Documenting the code inline using JSDoc or other conventions.
  9. Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system.
  10. Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with popular front-end build pipelines and tools.
  2. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  3. Experience with popular workflows (such as Flux, Redux, ContextAPI, or Data Structures).
  4. A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
  5. Proficient with the latest versions of ECMAScript (JavaScript or TypeScript).
  6. Knowledge of React and common tools used in the wider React ecosystem, such as npm, yarn, etc.
  7. Familiarity with common programming tools such as RESTful APIs, TypeScript, version control software, and remote deployment tools, CI/CD tools.
  8. An understanding of common programming paradigms and fundamental React principles, such as React components, hooks, and the React lifecycle.
  9. Unit testing using Jest, Enzyme, Jasmine or equivalent framework.
  10. Understanding of linter libraries (TSLINT, Prettier, etc).
