Job Title: Senior Accountant

Careers International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Operations: Manage day-to-day maritime office accounting, handle local and foreign bank accounts, and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Account Settlement and Auditing: Assist in account settlement, auditing, and review of invoices in accordance with terms and conditions of CoAs and Charter Parties.
  • Cash Management: Monitor collection, perform AR control for invoices issued, and assist in cash management.
  • Supplier Management: Correspond with worldwide suppliers, verify and process supplier invoices to ensure matching POs within voice and payment terms.
  • Expense Management: Check monthly expenses, reconcile, query, and compare actual to projected and budgeted expenses.
  • Document Control: Develop and maintain document control processes for efficient management.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare various MIS reports and other reports as required by management, participate in regular meetings, and support the Operations team and General Affairs.
Qualifications:
  • Language: Arabic speaking is preferred.
  • Experience: Maritime experience is a must, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Ship Owning/Ship Management Company in the UAE.
  • Education and Skills: Qualified Accountant with advanced MS Excel skills, aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills, and strong multitasking and management skills.
