Job Description

The Governance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of governance policies and procedures within the Investment Banking arm of Emirates NBD. This includes:

  • Policy Development: Assist in the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Review and recommend corrective actions to ensure strict compliance with governance standards and risk management frameworks.
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor and track external and internal audits, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and staff development programs to ensure employees are aware of governance policies and procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes to ensure efficient delivery of services to EmCap business teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal stakeholders, including GOPS, IT, Tanfeeth, business teams, OpRisk, Legal & Compliance to ensure project deliverables are met as per timelines.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of governance policies and procedures, risk management frameworks, and compliance requirements. They will be able to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
