About this Job
This Sr. Technical Engineer role involves working closely with the sales team to address technical queries from suppliers, customers, sales, and estimation teams for our bulk trading division.
- Key responsibilities include reviewing client technical documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules, as well as coordinating with local and global suppliers and vendors to resolve technical queries.
- The successful candidate will also be responsible for liaising between suppliers and customers, submitting vendor documents and technical submittals, negotiating technical aspects of products, and coordinating with estimation teams.
- In addition, they will be involved in coordinating quality inspections, raising RFIs, and arranging factory/warehouse visits as required by customers.
- The role also entails expediting suppliers and vendors for timely deliveries, visiting factories as needed, and coordinating logistics for material delivery to customers according to agreed plans.
- Maintenance of ISO documentation, supplier records, and manufacturer records is also a key responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Familiarity with engineering procurement aspects in E&I, Telecom bulk trading.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas and Power sectors in UAE.
- Valid UAE driving license and preferably own car.
- QA/HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Key Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in technical sales for E&I, Telecom engineering solutions related to the O&G sector.
- Strong market understanding and connections with EPC and developers in the O&G and Power Generation sectors in the UAE.
- Business acumen and commercial understanding of work processes.
- Effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and clients.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM applications.
