Job Title: Application Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team at Dicetek LLC. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for our applications and systems, including identifying and resolving issues related to application logs, deployment, and configuration.
  • Application Deployment: Deploy applications in AWS cloud platform and ensure smooth operation.
  • Source Code Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot application source code and database queries to identify and resolve issues.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Configure and monitor events and alerts to prevent incidents and ensure proactive monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other service line members to verify and resolve issues.
  • Database Query Writing: Write database queries to perform workarounds for issues.
  • Application Server Patching: Perform application server patching to ensure security and stability.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Working experience on Core Java and Java EE technologies, such as JDBC, JMS, JNDI. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud components and its deployment framework.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience in deploying applications in AWS cloud platform and troubleshooting issues in microservices.
  • WebSphere Administration: Good understanding and hands-on knowledge of IBM WebSphere administration and deployment concepts.
  • Application Log Analysis: Experience in application log analysis and application troubleshooting by going through the application source code and database queries.
  • Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with application monitoring tools and ability to troubleshoot issues from monitoring events.
  • Operating Systems: Experience with Linux and AIX operating systems with knowledge of basic shell scripting.
  • Databases: Good knowledge of RDBMS databases (Oracle) with experience in writing SQL queries and scripts.
  • MQ and Web Services: Good understanding of MQ and its operation, and REST and SOAP Web services.
  • Infrastructure: Basic knowledge of infrastructure components, such as Firewall, Load balancer, etc.
  • Internet and Mobile Apps: Experience in handling Internet and Mobile Apps (Android & IOS) related applications.
