Job Purpose: To deliver legal counsel and assistance to Precision Hire Solution and its associated enterprises on a range of legal matters to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives.
Key Result Areas:
1. Collaborate with and negotiate effectively with external legal counsel as necessary to maximize value.
2. Identify and assess risk areas from a legal standpoint; provide counter-clauses to safeguard the company’s interests and maintain optimal commercial and legal positions.
3. Work closely with the executive team and provide insightful legal input on various strategic initiatives and policy development proposals.4. Stay informed of all legal and regulatory changes that may impact the business across all sectors, suggesting amendments to internal policies and revising contracts to reflect those changes.
5. Review and recommend corrective actions on issues raised by departments to support their legal inquiries.6. Address alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
7. Provide advice on contracts, conflicts, interpretations, compliance, corporate transactions, and intellectual property matters as required.- Deliver accurate and timely legal advice and support to business divisions and internal departments, including but not limited to:
o Contractual and commercial advice to the events and operations teams;
o Contractual support to the Procurement department.
9. Draft and review commercial contracts/agreements with vendors and transactional documentation for enhancements to existing products and business initiatives, including licensing agreements, etc.
10. Plan and oversee the legal activities involved in the preparation, processing, review, maintenance, and distribution of legal records, documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Consult with attorneys and representatives or personnel from federal law enforcement agencies concerning legal document processing.
12. Provide day-to-day legal advice and support on the rules and regulations pertaining to UAE labour law, sponsorship, promotion, and events, reviewing complex and varied local laws and implications, and drafting, preparing, and negotiating related documents and agreements.
13. Participate in various internal forums to impart legal awareness training and advise on legal issues while highlighting procedural deficiencies.14. Educate business teams and individuals involved in negotiating complex commercial agreements, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and collaborating with them as the agreements are drafted, revised, and finalized.
Job Context:Responsible for balancing conflicting business demands while producing high-quality, practical, and commercially-oriented legal advice.
Where necessary, manage allocated outsourced work and communicate effectively to ensure clients are fully informed of progress towards resolving issues and completing their projects.
Ensure that complex or high-level matters are completed accurately and referred to the AVP of Legal Affairs as appropriate.Ensure that professional knowledge is adequately maintained and applied by monitoring and reviewing legal publications and changes in legislation, ensuring that any such changes are communicated within the team.
As required, provide support and guidance to the AVP of Legal Affairs.Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
Qualifications: Law degree from a recognized university or a recognized legal executive qualification with current certification, including qualification as a solicitor, barrister, attorney, or Graduate or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent.
Work Experience:
Experience: 3 years of post-graduate experience in a corporate group, in-house legal department, or law firm. Previous UK, UAE, or other GCC country experience will be advantageous.
Knowledge/Skills: Specialized knowledge and experience in drafting commercial agreements.
Skills:
Excellent technical and practical knowledge of contract law, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to prioritize workload, and effective communication skills.
Exceptional English language written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Capability to manage both day-to-day operations and project work.
