We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our project team at Wood. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality civil engineering projects from conceptual design to detailed design stage.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to project team members, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Civil Design: Develop and implement civil design solutions from conceptual stage to detailed design stage, ensuring that they are sustainable, efficient, and meet client requirements.
  3. Project Coordination: Coordinate with other disciplines, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure that civil inputs, schedules, and related issues are addressed.
  4. Design Basis and Specifications: Prepare and review design basis, technical specifications, and work scope documents to ensure that they meet client requirements and industry standards.
  5. Design Deliverables: Prepare and review design deliverables, including calculations, general arrangement drawings, detail drawings, 3D models, and material take-off documents.
  6. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Attend and participate in interdisciplinary meetings, model reviews, and client reviews to ensure that civil design inputs are integrated into the overall project.
  7. Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Evaluate and manage vendor and subcontractor bids to ensure that they meet client specifications and scopes of work.
  8. Team Management: Lead, motivate, coach, and manage a team of civil engineers to ensure that they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality projects.
  9. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables comply with quality standards and client requirements.
  10. Project Budget and Scheduling: Ensure that project budgets and schedules are executed as required, and that any deviations are addressed promptly.
  11. Staff Development: Implement staffing development plans and assign staff to specific projects or proposals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in oil and gas projects, with a focus on civil engineering design.
  • Hands-on experience with industry software, such as STAAD Pro Connect Edition, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, PROKON, 3D Model Review Tools (SPR & Navis Works), and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with other disciplines and multinational workforces.
  • Experience in designing plant layouts, roads, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure.
  • Experience in designing different types of concrete and steel structures, including pipe racks, pipe bridges, sleepers, process structures, equipment support structures, and equipment foundations.
