**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Cashier to join our team at Grand Excelsior Hotel. The ideal candidate will have excellent cash handling skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

  1. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting cash envelopes from the front office drop safe on a daily basis, with a witness present to verify the count and sign on the register.
  2. They will also deposit cash and cheques into the hotel bank account on a daily basis, prepare general cashier reports with deposit slips, and hand over to the income auditor for posting to the general ledger.
  3. In addition, the candidate will control all house banks in the hotel, prepare house bank reconciliations, perform spot checks, handle petty cash float, and provide change to cashiers.
  4. They will also update weekly foreign exchange rates at the reception, prepare cash flow statements for review and approval by the Director of Finance, and balance the cashier's over/shortage report with the general ledger at the end of the month.
  5. Furthermore, the successful candidate will handle hotel tobacco stock, prepare journal vouchers after inventory, and coordinate with the bank officer regarding work-related matters.
  6. Lastly, they will control star studio entrance tickets and prepare tax payments.
