About the Role

Holiday Inn seeks an experienced Learning & Quality Manager to join its team. In this critical role, you will oversee the hotel's training functions, including the development of a talented team of departmental trainers and the establishment of a robust system for training data generation and evaluation.

This position plays a vital role in shaping the skills, knowledge, and attitude of every colleague, ensuring access to effective resources. The Learning & Quality Manager will collaborate closely with the leadership team and other departments to enhance quality improvement initiatives, operational training, and career development programs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the daily operations of the L&D function, guaranteeing accurate documentation and adherence to mandatory training protocols.
  • Delivering IHG technical training and development workshops for various job bands.
  • Coaching departmental trainers and supervisors in cutting-edge training methodologies.
  • Conducting thorough Training Needs Analysis for the Hotel and leveraging IHG training programs.
  • Evaluating the performance and effectiveness of departmental trainers and training programs.
  • Organizing regular Department trainer meetings to assess operational department training needs analysis, the forthcoming training plan, and performance objectives.
  • Negotiating with educational institutions to facilitate internship placements.
  • Closely monitoring cross-training progress and recommending suitable internal positions.
  • Implementing product knowledge assessments to sustain high standards of product awareness across the hotel.
  • Establishing a Talent pool of High Potentials through annual performance appraisals.

About the Ideal Candidate

We seek an individual with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Learning & Quality, preferably within a mid-management capacity in an international hotel setting. You should possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and spoken English, and additional languages as an advantage. Your ability to work independently, think creatively, and demonstrate integrity is essential for success in this role.
