Job Outline:

  • Assist Technical Services Engineers in managing fleet technical operations, continuing airworthiness oversight, and technical support for designated sections such as Airframe, Structures, Avionics, Powerplant, and Cabin Interior.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services Engineers to assess manufacturers' and regulatory authorities' technical documentation, implementing necessary actions and updating internal engineering records, including Engineering Orders and Special Engineering Workcards.
  • Analyze in-service data (e.g., Technical logs, Pilot Reports, Defects) and propose actions to enhance fleet engine component and system reliability and maintainability, including the optimization of aircraft maintenance schedules.
  • Provide essential technical support during the acquisition of new aircraft and manage end-of-lease processes.
  • Offer technical clarifications and justifications to internal stakeholders to support cost optimization, contract negotiations, repair, and modification activities.
  • Execute project responsibilities related to major modifications, retrofits, cabin reconfigurations, and aircraft phase-out requirements.
  • Assist Technical Services Engineers in delivering technical assistance and operational support during disruption scenarios, including addressing technical/Aircraft on Ground (AOG) issues, chronic and deferred defects, and technical delays.

Support Technical Services Engineers in resolving significant fleet faults, defects, design challenges, and quality issues, while liaising with vendors and manufacturers to track open technical inquiries and develop follow-up actions within the team.

  • Review and evaluate technical data to support departmental KPIs, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to departmental IT initiatives and collaboratively develop concepts and methods to enhance efficiency within group functions.

Qualifications & Experience: Engineering. Other: 3 Years

Degree or Honours (123 or equivalent):

Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, and/or possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License for a minimum of 3 years of experience related to Aircraft Engineering.

Must have at least 1 year of experience in a Technical Services role.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Awareness of the latest technical advancements and industry trends relevant to respective systems.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize technical information for implementation in cost-effective manners.
  • Exceptional drafting and report writing skills.
  • Proven experience in managing complex tasks and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
