Etihad Airways is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Material Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all aircraft spares received conform to the appropriate standards of approval as laid down by regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections of aircraft engines, APU's, and major engine components to ensure compliance with established procedures and release on time.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to update shelf life, control of Engineering standards, test equipment, and stores inspection procedures as needed.
  • Ensure that products/materials conform to company and regulatory specifications, and maintain control over material in custody, including temperature, humidity, light, containers, and storage conditions.
  • Maintain and update controls with material planners/QA on shelf life, covering records, issuance of expiry warnings, and ensuring scrapping of expendable and recycling of rotables trackable serialized parts.
  • Raise discrepancy reports for incorrect, excess, or short supply of parts to all concerned sections and follow up.
  • Ensure that all priority spares are unpacked, cleared, and passed to stores for immediate issue.
  • Verify all materials and stamp approval on labels as per company procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external audit visits, releasing spares through Oracle CMRO and AMOS MRO.
  • Certify Non-incidence certificates and Etihad Airways Engineering's certificates of origin, and update counter and reset as needed.
  • Monitor AOG shipments and inspect AOG spares, logging shift hand-over and updating other sections on received AOG spares.
  • Certify sales items.
